Shanice Talks New Lipstick Line + Lead Single/Album News with UB

Singer Shanice is gearing up for a great year. Her major hit single “I Love Your Smile” is sampled in the current hit single by Chris Brown, entitled “Undecided.” Shanice co-signed the single this week.

Late last year Shanice launched her lipstick line “Smile by Shanice,” that has been a huge success called Beauty of Parfekshan. The liquid matte lipsticks come in 6 different shades and are available at www.beautyofparfekshan.com

With everything going on we caught up with Shanice, to get more on the makeup line and of course new music.

UrbanBridgez.com: Why a makeup line?
Shanice: Well it’ something that’s been in the works for awhile. First of all, I don’t know if people know this about me. But I’m obsessed when it comes to makeup! Like when I go into a makeup store, I light up like a kid in a candy store. So I’ve always wanted to have my own line and I always wanted a line called “Smile.” So for lips, I just thought that would be the perfect title. But I didn’t want to put out something that was toxic. I had found out a lot of makeup had lead in it, which is dangerous for us. It took me a minute, but I found the right lipstick that wasn’t toxic nor has it been tested on animals. In the end, it was exactly what I wanted. Another thing about it, is it’s long lasting.

I’m starting out with liquid matte, I just wanted to test it first. But I’m definitely going to add more colors and gloss. Eventually I would like to have a full line, with like the eye-liners and everything. This is just the beginning of it!

UrbanBridgez.com: We have to ask about the new music, watched your listening session a few weeks ago on IG Live, what was previewed sounded great!
Shanice: Thank you so much! I’m with this company called Heritage Music Group (HMG) through Universal. Originally I signed to do a single deal. Then we went in and started recording and the label got really excited with the music. So now, we’re working on a full album. The single will be out sometime the end of this month, or around early February. So it’s coming soon, I hope you guys like it! The song is called “He Won’t.”
